Smith & Wesson 32 Cal.
Self-Lubricating Box
Smith & Wesson 32 Cal.
empty self-lubricating bullet box. This is probably the earliest
known example of a Smith & Wesson self-lubed box still in
existence. This is not a UMC box, but a S&W box. This S&W
box in no way resembles the UMC box in its style of manufacturer.
S&W probably contracted the box from a private maker and filled
and labeled them in-house with UMC made cartridges. S&W did
this for a very short time before UMC took over the manufacturing
and marketing of the self-lubricating bullet. | |
